Andrew Hawkins does robot, trolls Roger Goodell (Video)

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Andrew Hawkins trolls the NFL by doing the robot after his touchdown catch against the New England Patriots in Week 5.

The Cleveland Browns are the only winless team in the NFL. They entered Week 5’s home game against the New England Patriots with an 0-4 record on the year. This team still plays hard for head coach Hue Jackson.

Down 7-0 in the first quarter, Browns quarterback Cody Kessler finds wide receiver Andrew Hawkins for an 11-yard touchdown pass to tie the game up at seven points apiece. The touchdown was nice, but Hawkins’ celebration was the most noteworthy part of the play.

Hawkins would take the football to the back left pylon, gently place the ball on the ground, and then proceeded to do the robot. This touchdown dance was meant to troll the NFL for their stance on excessive celebration.

As Hawkins got closer to the goal line, he would resolve back into normal football player form and chest bump his Browns teammate on the paydirt. The NFL has long been known as the No Fun League by players.

The NFL has not been keen on premeditated touchdown celebrations, preferring things a little less choreographed and more spontaneous. Will the NFL fine Hawkins for doing the robot? If so, that would be hilarious. It’s not like Hawkins was taunting anybody on the Patriots. The dance was a funny moment at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Cleveland hasn’t done a ton of getting into the end zone with its 0-4 record. It might be a difficult season for the Browns in 2016, but it still seems like the players are having fun playing football this year. Scoring touchdowns on the Patriots is always fun, but when was the last time somebody did the robot on New England?
