Azzi Fudd - Generates three points in opener
Fudd finished with three points (1-2 FG, 1-2 3Pt), one rebound and one steal across 18 minutes in Saturday's 107-104 win over Indiana.
Impact
Fudd came off the bench in this contest. Although she logged 18 minutes, she finished with only three points. The Wings had a good thing going with the starting lineup versus Indiana, so it's possible Fudd wasn't featured as much for strategic reasons. As such, the 2026 No. 1 overall pick should get more involved moving forward. Fudd could also get a chance to enter the starting lineup relatively soon, which will presumably improve her production.

Jessica Shepard - Impresses in win over Fever
Shepard finished with 13 points (5-8 FG, 3-5 FT), nine rebounds, nine assists and two steals across 32 minutes in Saturday's 107-104 win over Indiana.
Impact
Shepard got the start Saturday, and it's safe to say she exceeded expectations by falling one rebound and one assist shy of a triple-double. The 29-year-old played her entire career in Minnesota before agreeing to a two-year deal with Dallas in April. In her final season with the Lynx, she averaged 8.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.1 blocks in 20.9 minutes (40 games). That said, if Shepard starts consistently throughout the 2026 campaign, she could be in line for her best season to date, even if there are occasional bumps along the way.

Arike Ogunbowale - Leads Dallas in scoring Saturday
Ogunbowale finished with 22 points (8-15 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), one rebound and five assists across 29 minutes in Saturday's 107-104 win over Indiana.
Impact
It was a close, competitive contest between these clubs Saturday. However, Ogunbowale put the Wings on her back to lead the team in scoring. The 29-year-old has been a reliable producer since entering the WNBA in 2019, averaging 19.9 points, 3.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.1 blocks over 34.3 minutes in 224 regular-season games. She should continue to remain heavily involved on the scoring end while chipping in defensively here and there, assuming she remains healthy after appearing in 29 games last season.

Paige Bueckers - Solid start to 2026 campaign
Bueckers finished with 20 points (8-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-6 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one steal over 32 minutes in Saturday's 107-104 win over Indiana.
Impact
Bueckers finished only two points behind Arike Ogunbowale, who scored a team-high 22 points. She was also efficient from the field by missing only two of her 10 attempts. The 24-year-old is coming off a splendid inaugural campaign, averaging 19.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.5 blocks across 33.3 minutes in 2025 (36 games), good enough to earn Rookie of the Year honors. With a year of service under her belt, it's reasonable to assume she will be more productive in her second season in the WNBA.

Maddy Siegrist - Not starting Saturday
Siegrist is not in the Wings' starting lineup against the Fever on Saturday, Sara Jane Gamelli of BallisLife.com reports.
Impact
Siegrist saw some action in the Wings' starting five during the preseason. However, she'll come off the bench in Saturday's regular-season opener while Dallas deploys a lineup of Paige Bueckers, Odyssey Sims, Arike Ogunbowale, Jessica Shepard and Alanna Smith. Siegrist started in each of the Wings' last 12 games of the 2025 regular season, and over that span she averaged 15.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.5 threes, 1.2 steals and 0.8 blocks over 31.8 minutes per contest.

Aziaha James - Good to go Saturday
James (ankle) is available for Saturday's game against the Fever, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
Impact
James sustained a sprained ankle toward the tail end of the preseason, but she has been given the green light to play in Saturday's regular-season opener. She's looking to build off a solid 2025 campaign, when she averaged 7.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists over 17.7 minutes across 38 regular-season games (eight starts).

Alanna Smith - Cleared to play Saturday
Smith (face) is in the Wings' starting lineup against Indiana on Saturday, Sara Jane Gamelli of BallisLife.com reports.

Azzi Fudd - Not starting vs. Indiana
Fudd is not in the Wings' starting lineup against the Fever on Saturday, Sara Jane Gamelli of BallisLife.com reports.
Impact
The 2026 first-overall pick will come off the bench in her WNBA regular-season debut, with the Wings sending out a lineup of Odyssey Sims, Paige Bueckers, Arike Ogunbowale, Jessica Shepard and Alanna Smith. Fudd should operate as Dallas' first option off the bench in Saturday's season opener.
