Wizards Forced to Reevaluate Offseason Strategy Following Russell Westbrook's Retirement The Washington Wizards have remained as strategic as ever regarding their intentions to round out their roster in advance of the 2026-27 sea...
AUGUST 13 • SI.COM
Alysha Clark - Sees 16 minutes off bench Clark finished with six points (2-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT) over 16 minutes during Wednesday's 94-88 win over the Tempo.
Impact Clark played well off the bench but hasn't seen consistent enough usage or minutes to warrant attention outside of deeper fantasy leagues. Through 21 games, she's averaging a mere 9.4 minutes per contest.
AUGUST 13 • ROTOWIRE
Maddy Siegrist - Fares well in limited run Siegrist finished with seven points (3-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal across 13 minutes during Wednesday's 94-88 victory over the Tempo.
Impact Siegrist made the most of her limited action, but she's hard to trust in fantasy with her current workloads. She still has some work to in order to become a consistent source of fantasy value.
AUGUST 13 • ROTOWIRE
Alanna Smith - Double-doubles in win Smith provided 13 points (5-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 33 minutes during Wednesday's 94-88 win over the Tempo.
Impact Smith recorded her second double-double of the campaign as the Wings improved to 20-14 on the season. She holds averages of 5.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.7 steals in 16.7 minutes per contest.
AUGUST 13 • ROTOWIRE
Cam Whitmore must change, with his roster spot on the line The Washington Wizards forward must make huge shifts to how he plays as he fights for a roster spot.
AUGUST 13 • WIZOFAWES.COM
Awak Kuier - Plays well in start Wednesday Kuier ended with 14 points (6-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt), four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 25 minutes in Wednesday's 94-88 win over Toronto.
Impact Kuier started Wednesday and finished with her second-highest scoring total of the season to help the Wings snap a three-game losing streak. With a lengthy injury report for Dallas ahead of this contest, it's unknown who will be available for Friday's meeting with Indiana. As a result, Kuier may be needed to remain in the starting lineup and could continue to benefit statistically.
AUGUST 13 • ROTOWIRE
Arike Ogunbowale - Scores 21 points in win Ogunbowale finished with 21 points (4-12 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 13-14 FT), two rebounds, five assists and one steal across 35 minutes in Wednesday's 94-88 win over the Tempo.
Impact Ogunbowale combined for just 10 points in her previous two appearances ahead of Wednesday's meeting with Toronto. While she didn't shoot well overall and had a season-high five turnovers, she was efficient from the free-throw line and finished second on her team in scoring behind Paige Bueckers, who had 22 points. Still, despite reaching the 20-point mark for the first time since the 81-75 loss to Washington on July 31, the 29-year-old is now averaging a career-low 14.6 points along with 3.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.0 steals over 29.8 minutes in 34 regular-season games.
AUGUST 13 • ROTOWIRE
Paige Bueckers - Leads Dallas to win Wednesday Bueckers finished with 22 points (7-18 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 7-7 FT), three rebounds, eight assists and three steals across 34 minutes in Wednesday's 94-88 victory over Toronto.
Impact Bueckers passed the 20-point mark while recording eight assists and three steals for the second straight contest. While she didn't shoot the ball particularly well once again, she had just one turnover after amassing six in Sunday's 103-90 loss to Minnesota. The 22-year-old has played well throughout the 2026 campaign, averaging 20.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 5.8 assists over 33.3 minutes in 32 regular-season appearances.
AUGUST 13 • ROTOWIRE
Aziaha James - Won't return Wednesday James (leg) won't return to Wednesday's game against Toronto. She will finish with two points (1-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and one block across 12 minutes.
Impact James had trouble getting anything going Wednesday. However, her night got even worse after she suffered a left leg injury in the fourth quarter. The Wings play again Friday against the Fever, so it wouldn't be surprising to see James appear on the injury report. In the meantime, Alysha Clark and Maddy Siegrist will likely handle more minutes the rest of the way.
AUGUST 13 • ROTOWIRE
Awak Kuier - Starting Wednesday Kuier will be in the starting lineup for Wednesday's matchup with the Tempo.
Impact Kuier is getting the spot-start with Jessica Shepard (ankle) unavailable, and she'll be joined in the first unit by Odyssey Sims, Paige Bueckers, Arike Ogunbowale and Alanna Smith. As a starter this season, Kuier owns averages of 4.9 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game on 43/27/60 shooting splits.
AUGUST 12 • ROTOWIRE
Haley Jones - Won't play Wednesday Jones (coach's decision) is out for Wednesday's game versus the Tempo.
Impact Jones will return to the inactive list after logging two minutes off the bench in Sunday's 103-90 loss to the Lynx. Her next chance to play will come Friday in Indiana.
AUGUST 12 • ROTOWIRE
Alysha Clark - Available to play Wednesday Clark (back) is listed as available for Wednesday's game versus Toronto.
Impact Clark will avoid a fourth consecutive absence Wednesday and will suit up for the first time since the 83-63 victory over Connecticut on August 2. It's unknown how much playing time she will receive. However, Clark has logged double-digit minutes in just two of her previous nine regular-season appearances, so it would be surprising if she were heavily involved against the Tempo.

Azzi Fudd - Downgraded to out Fudd (knee) is out for Wednesday's game against Toronto.

Alysha Clark - Questionable for Wednesday Clark (back) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Tempo.
Impact Clark is in danger of missing a fourth consecutive contest with a back injury. If the veteran forward isn't cleared to play, Maddy Siegrist and Awak Kuier could see a bump in minutes.
AUGUST 11 • ROTOWIRE
Azzi Fudd - Iffy for Wednesday Fudd (knee) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Tempo.
Impact Fudd has a chance to end a two-game absence Wednesday with a right knee injury. If the standout rookie is unable to give it a go, Odyssey Sims and Alanna Smith would likely see more playing time.
AUGUST 11 • ROTOWIRE
Jessica Shepard - Ruled out for Wednesday Shepard (ankle) is out for Wednesday's game against the Tempo.
Impact Shepard missed Tuesday's practice after turning her right ankle in Sunday's game against the Lynx, and she's missing her first contest of the season Wednesday. The star center can be deemed day-to-day ahead of Friday's tilt in Indiana. Li Yueru and Awak Kuier stand to benefit the most from Shepard's absence in the frontcourt.
AUGUST 11 • ROTOWIRE
Jessica Shepard - Misses practice Tuesday Shepard (ankle) didn't practice Tuesday, per Drake Keeler of The IX Basketball.
Impact Shepard turned her right ankle in Sunday's game against the Lynx, and head coach Jose Fernandez had no timetable Tuesday for the center's return. It's unclear if Shepard if facing an extended absence, but she can be tentatively considered questionable for Wednesday's matchup against the Tempo until the Wings put out their official injury report.
