Won't return this season
Head coach Billy Donovan said Friday that Yabusele (shoulder/elbow) will not play in Chicago's final two regular-season games, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.
Impact
Yabusele sustained a left shoulder sprain and a left elbow sprain in Thursday's win over the Wizards and will not return this season. The big man will finish the 2025-26 campaign with averages of 5.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 15.0 minutes per game across 67 regular-season appearances (19 starts) between Chicago and New York.

Won't play Friday
Yabusele (shoulder) will be sidelined for Friday's matchup against the Magic.
Impact
Yabusele exited Thursday's game against the Wizards early due to a sprained left shoulder. The issue will keep him out Friday, and it wouldn't be surprising if he sat out the final game of the season Sunday. Leonard Miller and Lachlan Olbrich are candidates to see increased run.

Exits to locker room
Yabusele exited to the locker room in the third quarter of Thursday's game against the Wizards due to an apparent left shoulder injury, Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Impact
Yabusele appeared to bump into another player and grabbed his left shoulder before heading to the locker room. He should be considered questionable to return until more information comes to light.

Available to play Friday
Yabusele (ankle) will play in Friday's game against the New York Knicks.
Impact
Yabusele will now appear in his third consecutive contest. With Nick Richard (elbow) still on the shelf, he will presumably remain in the starting lineup. The 30-year-old has averaged 10.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.5 blocks and 0.8 steals across 25.9 minutes in 15 starts throughout the 2025-26 campaign.

Available against Indiana
Yabusele (ankle) is available for Wednesday's game against the Pacers, per Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star.
Impact
Yabusele will power through his lingering left ankle sprain to suit up for Wednesday's contest. With Nick Richards (elbow) officially ruled out, Yabusele is fully expected to draw the start at center and should take on a heavy workload for Chicago's depleted frontcourt.

ROTOWIRE
Iffy for Wednesday
Yabusele is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Pacers due to a sprained left ankle.
Impact
Yabusele continues to be bothered by the injury and could go through pregame warmups Wednesday before Chicago updates his playing status. Nick Richards (elbow) is also questionable, so the depleted Bulls frontcourt could be down to Leonard Miller and Lachlan Olbrich as the last men standing at the center position.

ROTOWIRE
Cleared to play
Yabusele (ankle) will play Monday against the Spurs.
Impact
Yabusele will return to the court following a one-game absence due to a left ankle injury. Nick Richards (elbow) is sidelined Monday, so Yabusele appears to be the favorite to draw a start at center.

ROTOWIRE
Questionable for Monday
Yabusele (ankle) is questionable for Monday's game in San Antonio.
Impact
Yabusele is in danger of missing his second straight game, but we'll have a better idea on his status based on his activity level at shootaround. If he's not able to give it a go, Lachlan Olbrich could see heavy minutes as the last center standing in Chicago.

ROTOWIRE
Resting against Memphis
Yabusele (ankle) is out for Saturday's game in Memphis.
Impact
Yabusele got the start in Friday's 131-113 loss to Oklahoma City. However, as expected, Yabusele will sit this one out to rest. With Jalen Smith (calf) and Nick Richards (elbow) also sidelined, the Bulls will be thin at the five, potentially resulting in Lachlan Olbrich making the first start of his career.

Starting versus Oklahoma City
Yabusele will start in Friday's game against Oklahoma City.
Impact
Nick Richards (elbow) isn't available, so Yabusele will start for the first time since March 10. In 12 starts during the campaign, the 30-year-old has averaged 10.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.5 blocks and 0.8 steals while shooting 39.1 percent from behind the arc.

ROTOWIRE
Available Friday
Yabusele (ankle) is available for Friday's game against the Thunder.
Impact
With Yabusele available and Nick Richards (elbow) out, the former appears primed to draw the start at center for the Bulls on Friday. Yabusele has averaged 10.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 25.9 minutes per contest across 12 games as a starter for Chicago.

ROTOWIRE
Still nursing ankle issue
Yabusele is questionable for Friday's game against Oklahoma City due to a left ankle sprain.
Impact
Yabusele missed Monday's action against Houston before taking the court Wednesday against Philly, but it seems the ankle is still bothering him. He'll presumably need to prove his health during shootaround and leading up to tipoff to gain clearance to play.

ROTOWIRE
Chips in 11 points off bench
Yabusele posted 11 points (3-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and four rebounds over 22 minutes during the Bulls' 157-137 loss to the 76ers on Wednesday.
Impact
Yabusele was one of nine Bulls players to score in double digits, but the team was ineffective defensively in a blowout loss. The veteran big man could in line for an expanded roles in the coming days depending on the statuses of Jalen Smith (calf) and Nick Richards (elbow), both of whom left Wednesday's game due to injury. Yabusele started in 12 of 13 games from early February to mid-March, scoring in double digits in eight of those contests while recording two double-doubles and a near triple-double against the Pistons on Feb. 21.

ROTOWIRE
Cleared to play Wednesday
Yabusele (ankle) is available for Wednesday's game against the 76ers.
Impact
Yabusele was held out of Monday's game against the Rockets due to a left ankle sprain. He was initially listed as doubtful for Wednesday's contest, but the veteran big man has progressed enough in his recovery to be cleared to play against Philadelphia. Yabusele has scored in double digits in three of his last four outings while connecting on 57.1 percent of his field-goal attempts over that span.

•
ROTOWIRE
Questionable for Wednesday
Yabusele (ankle) is now questionable for Wednesday's game against the 76ers.
Impact
Similar to Isaac Okoro (knee), Yabusele has been upgraded from doubtful to questionable. If he's unable to play, the Bulls may need to lean heavily on Nick Richards.
MARCH 25
•
ROTOWIRE
Unlikely to play Wednesday
Yabusele (ankle) is out for Wednesday's game against the 76ers.
Impact
A left ankle sprain is likely to result in a second consecutive absence for Yabusele. Nick Richards figures to continue to start in the frontcourt alongside Jalen Smith on Wednesday.
MARCH 24
•
ROTOWIRE
Out again Monday
Yabusele (ankle) is out for Monday's game against the Rockets.
Impact
No surprise here, as Yabusele was previously listed as doubtful. Jalen Smith (calf) remains questionable, which means Nick Richards may be relied on heavily.
MARCH 23
•
ROTOWIRE
Doubtful for Monday
Yabusele is doubtful for Monday's game versus the Rockets due to a left ankle sprain.
Impact
Yabusele must have tweaked his ankle during Thursday's loss to the Cavs, and now he's in danger of missing Monday's game. Jalen Smith (calf) is also questionable for Monday's game, and if he's forced to join Yabusele on the sidelines, Nick Richards would get a chance to start.
