Impact Bell started deep in the field at 23rd on the starting grid. The Joe Gibbs Racing star would patiently and methodically pick his way through the field. He couldn't get to the lead but he would run down leader, Corey Heim, in the closing laps and give him a good challenge for the win. However, he would fall just two-tenths short at the checkered flag and would have to settle for the impressive runner-up finish at Indianapolis.
