Brice Turang - Blasts two-run homer in loss
Turang went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Cardinals.
Impact
Turang did his part in sparking a comeback, blasting a two-run homer in the ninth inning to cut the deficit to three. It marked his fifth long ball and fourth three-hit effort of the year, as the second baseman has carried over his breakout 2025 campaign into a hot start to 2026. Through 31 games, the 26-year-old is hitting .304 with a .956 OPS, cementing himself as one of the most consistent and productive hitters in the Brewers lineup.

Jackson Chourio - Four-hit effort in return
Chourio went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a run scored and a walk in Monday's 6-3 loss to St. Louis.
Impact
In his first big-league game of the season, Chourio reached base in all five of his plate appearances, including a pair of doubles. The outfielder, who opened the season on the injured list due to a fracture in his left hand, showed no signs of rust, as his lowest exit velocity checked in at 102.8 mph. Coming off a 2025 campaign in which he posted a .771 OPS with 21 homers, 35 doubles, four triples, 78 RBI, 88 runs and 21 stolen bases across 131 regular-season appearances, the 22-year-old will look to take another step forward in 2026.

Chad Patrick - Lasts 3.1 frames in loss
Patrick (2-2) took the loss Monday, allowing four runs on seven hits and three walks over 3.1 innings against the Cardinals. He struck out four.
Impact
Patrick didn't provide much length in Monday's loss, as he was chased after Ivan Herrera's three-RBI double with one out in the fourth inning. The right-hander's 3.45 ERA across 31.1 innings is solid, but a 1.44 WHIP and 20:16 K:BB highlight areas for improvement, particularly in limiting free passes and generating more whiffs. Patrick will look to get back in the win column next time out, which is tentatively scheduled for Sunday against the Yankees.

Christian Yelich - Takes batting practice on field
Yelich (groin) took batting practice on the field Monday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Impact
It's the first time Yelich has taken batting practice on the field with the rest of his teammates since he went down with a left groin strain in mid-April. The Brewers laid out a 4-to-6 week timeline for Yelich's return when the injury occurred, and he looks to be trending toward being activated toward the front-end of that timetable.

Jacob Misiorowski - Throws bullpen session
Misiorowski (hamstring) threw a bullpen session Monday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Impact
Misiorowski was forced to exit his last outing Friday against the Nationals with a right hamstring cramp. All signs point to the right-hander making his next scheduled start Wednesday in St. Louis, but the Brewers will wait to see how Misiorowski bounces back from Monday's bullpen session before clearing him.

Quinn Priester - Dealing with shoulder soreness
Priester (wrist) is with the Brewers in St. Louis after being pulled from his rehab assignment due to shoulder soreness, Sophia Minnaert of Brewers.tv reports.
Impact
Priester struggled in his last rehab outing with Triple-A Nashville on Friday, when he tossed 62 pitches (37 strikes) and allowed five runs on seven hits (including one homer) and two walks while striking out one batter in just two innings. Brewers manager Pat Murphy told reporters Monday that Priester's recent setback isn't considered a long-term concern, but the 25-year-old right-hander will be reevaluated by medical staff and work with pitching coaches over the coming days to determine a more clear timeline to return.

Tyler Black - Sitting again Monday
Black is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals.
Impact
After hitting the bench for Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Nationals while right-hander Zack Littell served as Washington's primary pitcher, Black will remain out of the starting nine against a righty starter (Kyle Leahy) for the series opener in St. Louis. Since being recalled from Triple-A Nashville on April 24, Black has shined at the plate with nine hits -- including four doubles -- and seven RBI over 21 at-bats, but his pathway to regular playing time appears to have closed with the Brewers bringing Jackson Chourio (hand) and Andrew Vaughn (hand) back from the injured list Monday. Black could be optioned back to Nashville in the coming days if Milwaukee wants him to continue playing on an everyday basis rather than seeing limited action in a utility role at the big-league level.

Brandon Lockridge - Set to lose time versus righties
Lockridge is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals.
Impact
Lockridge has received fairly steady playing time in the Milwaukee outfield throughout the season, but he appears set to move into more of a short-side platoon role moving forward after the Brewers reinstated Jackson Chourio (hand) from the injured list Monday. Chourio will step in as the Brewers' starting left fielder in his 2026 debut, leaving Lockridge as an odd man out while Garrett Mitchell and Sal Frelick cover the other two spots in the outfield.

Brice Turang - Ready to start Monday
Turang (illness) will start at second base and bat third in Monday's game against the Cardinals.
Impact
After Turang fell ill and was scratched from the starting nine ahead of Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Nationals, manager Pat Murphy told Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel following the game that the Brewers were in "wait-and-see" mode with the second baseman heading into team's three-game series in St. Louis. Turang looks like he bounced back well from the ailment overnight and will slot back into a new-look Milwaukee lineup. He'll hit out of the No. 3 spot in the order for just sixth time this season while the Brewers welcome two key lineup pieces in Jackson Chourio (hand) and Andrew Vaughn (hand) back from the injured list.

Quinn Priester - Pulled off rehab assignment
Priester (wrist) remains on the 15-day injured list after the Brewers pulled him off of his rehab assignment Monday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Impact
Priester isn't believed to be dealing with any sort of setback, but the Brewers will pause his minor-league assignment after the right-hander struggled mightily during his three starts at Triple-A Nashville. He failed to record more than seven outs in any of those outings, submitting a collective 16.20 ERA, 3.00 WHIP and 5:8 K:BB across five innings. The Brewers haven't indicated that Priester will be shut down from activity, but he'll likely need to show improvement with both his velocity and command during his throwing sessions before Milwaukee restarts his rehab clock. Brandon Sproat and Logan Henderson should have longer leashes in the Milwaukee rotation while both Priester and Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) are on the IL.

Blake Perkins - Dispatched to minors
The Brewers optioned Perkins to Triple-A Nashville on Monday.
Impact
Perkins will head to Triple-A after the Brewers no longer had room for him in their crowded outfield following Jackson Chourio's (hand) reinstatement from the injured list. The 29-year-old had seen limited action of late, starting in just four of Milwaukee's last 19 games while slashing .059/.158/.118 during that stretch. Perkins should get the chance to play on an everyday basis with Nashville.

Greg Jones - Cast off roster
The Brewers designated Jones for assignment Monday.
Impact
With Andrew Vaughn (hand) and Jackson Chourio (hand) returning from injured list Monday, the Brewers won't have room on the roster for Jones. Upon being called up from Triple-A Nashville on April 14, Jones filled a utility role for Milwaukee, appearing in 11 games while going 2-for-21 (.095 average) with a stolen base, an RBI and no runs.

ROTOWIRE
Andrew Vaughn - Making return from IL
The Brewers reinstated Vaughn (hand) from the 10-day injured list Monday.
Impact
Vaughn will be available to play for the Brewers for the first time since Opening Day, when he made an early exit from Milwaukee's 14-2 win over the White Sox after fracturing the hamate bone in left hand when he was hit by a pitch. He underwent surgery days later and was held out of action for about a month before completing a three-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Nashville last week. Now cleared to return from the IL, Vaughn will likely settle back in as the Brewers' primary first baseman, which could result in Jake Bauers seeing more action at designated hitter or in the corner outfield.
