Impact The 25-year-old lined up to start Thursday's game on normal rest, but the Dodgers will choose to begin the game with a right-hander on the mound. Urias earned the win in Game 2 of the NLDS on Saturday and allowed one run on three hits and a walk while striking out five in five innings.

Impact After a 20-win regular season, Urias got right back in the win column in his first start of the 2021 postseason, outdueling Kevin Gausman in San Francisco to even the series at 1-1. The lefty got through his five innings on a tidy 72 pitches (seven swinging strikes). He could start a potential Game 5 on full rest Thursday or perhaps he could pitch out of the bullpen in Tuesday's Game 4 if the Dodgers need him.

Impact Urias bounced back admirably after allowing four runs through six innings in his previous start, and he's now extended his undefeated streak to 16 starts -- he last dropped a game when he was tagged with the loss against the Padres on June 21. He's gone 10-0 with a 2.07 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP in that 16-game stretch, and it's worth mentioning his recent performances have been as dominant as well with a 2.20 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP across five September starts.

Impact The southpaw was efficient in the outing, needing only 73 pitches (54 of which were strikes) to make it through six frames. He was perfect for three innings before Colorado got to him for a pair of runs in the fourth. Urias surrendered two more runs in the sixth, resulting in the first outing in which he has allowed more than two earned runs since mid-July. Los Angeles ultimately pulled out the contest in extra frames, however, extending Urias' streak of starts without a loss to 15. The 25-year-old will look to keep that streak alive while pursuing his 19th win of the campaign when he faces Arizona on the road this weekend.

Impact The southpaw exited after 76 pitches and five frames, which Urias stated was part of a pre-determined plan, per Michael J. Duarte of NBC LA. That kept him from logging a quality start, but Urias nonetheless managed to extended his streak of winning starts to five and add another victory to his MLB-leading total. Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports that Urias' velocity was down a bit in the outing, which may be a consequence of the 25-year-old more than doubling his previous big-league high mark for a season with 168.1 innings pitched. The Dodgers are off Thursday and Monday, which should provide Urias extra rest before his next start, which tentatively lines up to take place at Colorado next Wednesday.

Urias finished with his fourth scoreless outing in his past seven starts, though he went only five innings in each of the previous three efforts. Since July 21, he has posted a 1.23 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 53:9 K:BB across nine starts covering 51.1 frames. Urias will try to add to his league-leading 17 wins in his next start, which is tentatively lined up to come at home versus Arizona on Wednesday.
