Out with bruised calf Urias hit the injured list with a left calf contusion Saturday.

Impact The specific diagnosis doesn't sound like it should keep Urias out for long, though whether or not he'll need to miss more than one turn in the rotation remains unclear. His 139.2 innings this season already blows out his total of 78.0 from last season, so this may be little more than a convenient way for the Dodgers to avoid overworking the young lefty. The team will need to call up a replacement to take his turn in the rotation Wednesday against the Pirates, as it will be utility man Zach McKinstry who earns the callup in a corresponding move Saturday.

Strong outing in no-decision Urias didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 6-5 extra-inning win over the Mets, allowing two hits and two walks over five scoreless innings. He struck out five.

Impact The southpaw tossed 57 of 82 pitches for strikes before exiting with a 3-0 lead, but the Dodgers' bullpen cost Urias his 14th win of the year. He's failed to last six innings in any of his last four outings, but he's posted a dazzling 1.31 ERA over that stretch. On the season, Urias sports a 3.29 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 149:30 K:BB through 139.2 innings.

Impact Urias pitched well aside from a rough third inning that saw him permit all three runs on three hits and an error. He departed down 3-2 but the Dodgers eventually rallied to get the 24-year-old off the hook for the loss. Urias has now gone at least five innings and allowed four runs or less in eight straight starts, lowering his ERA from 3.99 to 3.41 in the process.

Impact Urias had one bad inning, allowing all four of his runs on one swing of the bat from C.J. Cron in the third frame. Otherwise, he was fantastic in his outing. He got his third win in a row, despite allowing over twice as many hits as strikeouts for the first time this season. The 24-year-old has a 3.78 ERA and 122 strikeouts in 112 innings.
