Impact A fourth-round pick by Arizona in 2023, Hitt didn't make his professional debut last season while he was in the midst of recovering from the Tommy John surgery he underwent earlier in the spring. He was cleared to start a rehab assignment in in late June and made five appearances in the Complex League before being activated, logging a 9.00 ERA, 2.00 WHIP and 9:7 K:BB over six innings. Hitt walked three batters apiece in both of his last two abbreviated rehab outings, so the Diamondbacks presumably want to see the lefty show improved control in the ACL before he's cleared to make his Visalia debut.
