Impact Niemann entered JCB Golf and Country Club coming off a missed cut at The Open and back-to-back T23 finishes on the LIV Golf tour, prompting him to part ways with caddie Gary Matthews. The move has quickly paid off, with Niemann using an eight-under 63 second round to race out to a six-stroke lead heading into Championship Sunday. He led by as much as eight strokes during the final round, which was enough of a cushion to withstand a late surge from Bubba Watson. It was Niemann's fifth LIV Golf victory of the season, and his lead over Jon Rahm in the individual standings is up to 37.63 points. Next up is LIV Golf Chicago in two weeks time, and Niemann would wrap up the 2025 Individual Championship were he to finish the tournament with a lead of over 40 points over Rahm.
