Victorious at LIV Golf New York
Niemann posted a 16-under cumulative score at LIV Golf New York to win the tournament by three strokes over Harold Varner III.
Impact
Niemann set the tone at Trump National Bedminster with a seven-under 64 opening round, and he followed that up with a six-under 65 score Friday to enter the weekend with a commanding lead. He gained only three strokes over his last 36 holes, but the work that Niemann did over the first two days was more than enough for him to come away with his second LIV Golf victory of the year and ninth of his career, the most of any player in the breakaway tour. The LIV Golf individual season will wrap up in Indianapolis in two weeks, when he'll look to secure a top-3 finish for a third consecutive year.

T28 in LIV Golf UK defense
Niemann posted a three-under cumulative score at LIV Golf United Kingdom to finish tied with Scott Vincent and Adrian Meronk for 28th.
Impact
Niemann entered JCB Golf & Country Club as the defending champion, and he also finished T2 in 2024. The Torque GC captain couldn't get anything going this time around, with his four-under 68 score Saturday being his only round in which he went under par. It was a deflating way for Niemann to wrap up his two-week stint in the United Kingdom, especially after missing the cut at The Open Championship by three strokes. Despite finishing outside the top-20 in each of the last two LIV Golf tournaments, Niemann is still fifth in the individual standings thanks to his victory in Korea and solo fourth in Singapore. He'll tee off Aug. 6 at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster for LIV Golf New York.

MC after poor opening round
Niemann posted a four-over cumulative score at The Open Championship to miss the cut by three strokes.
Impact
Niemann opened things up with a six-over 76 and was unable to make up the ground he needed Friday to qualify for the weekend, ultimately ending the second round with a two-under 68. His struggles didn't come on the tee box, as he ranked 12th in SG: Off-the-Tee, as well as 39th in SG: Around. However, Niemann lost 2.47 strokes in his approach play (140th) and lost another 2.69 strokes with his putter (149th). The talented Chilean continues to struggle at golf's oldest major, as he's finished T53 or worse in seven starts, including four missed cuts. Niemann will lead his Torque GC teammates into LIV Golf United Kingdom next week, which he won last year after finishing T2 in 2024.

T7 at BMW International Open
Niemann posted a 10-under cumulative score at the BMW International Open on the DP World Tour to finish tied with Ashun Wu for seventh.
Impact
Niemann finished the tournament with 20 birdies made (T4), but he would have finished higher had it not been for his 12 bogeys (T73). He also led the field in driving distance, and while he ranked 102nd in driving accuracy, it evened out to 1.14 strokes gained off the tee, good for eighth-best in the field. Niemann has two-straight top-10 finishes on the DP World Tour and finished T7 at the U.S. Open two weeks ago, which puts him in good form heading into The Open Championship at Royal Birkdale in two weeks. It'll be his seventh appearance at golf's oldest major, though he's never finished inside the top-50 in each of his six prior outings (including missed cuts in 2019, 2023 and 2025).

Fails to hold 36-hole lead in Italy
Niemann finished solo third at the Open d'Italia on the DP World Tour with an 18-under cumulative score.
Impact
Niemann dominated through the first two rounds of the tournament and held a two-stroke lead after scores of 64-63. However, he was marred by an even-par 71 score Saturday that included five bogeys on the back nine, and while he recovered slightly with a three-under 68 on Sunday, it wasn't enough for Niemann to hold off weekend charges from Matt Wallace and eventual winner Eugenio Chacarra. Still, it was a nice result for Niemann following his T7 at the U.S. Open last week. He's currently listed in the field for the BMW International Open on the DP World Tour next week as he gears up for The Open Championship in July.

T7 finish after two stroke penalty
Niemann fired a four-under 66 in the final round of the U.S. Open to surge into a tie for seventh place.
Impact
What could have been this week for Niemann. He was cruising along in the first round and then absolutely blew up out of nowhere. He pumped two out of bounds on the par-4 6th hole, then after his next drive went in a bad lie which he didn't get relief from, he reportedly chucked his club down the fairway and was screaming all kinds of choice words to officials and volunteers. Niemann was given a two-stroke penalty because of that for behavioral conduct and ultimately ended up making an 11 on the hole. To his credit, he put his head down and kept battling, shooting a 65 on Friday to make the cut and then his 66 on Sunday put him inside the top 10, securing a place in the 2027 U.S. Open. Nevertheless, it has to be a little disappointing knowing that just a par on the hole on Thursday would have won him this golf tournament. Niemann sits third in the LIV Golf standings, but will tee it up on the DP World Tour next week in the Italian Open.
