Mertz has completed 92 of his 143 passes for 1,296 yards and a 13:5 TD:INT ratio through the first six games of the season, though these overall number are skewed by his statline across Wisconsin's three blowout wins this season (46-of-60 passing, 769 yards, 9:1 TD:INT). The third-year starter could stand to put up another prolific outing during the Badgers' next game against the struggling Michigan State passing defense.

Chimere Dike - Explodes in Week 6 Dike caught all but one of his 11 targets for 185 yards and three touchdowns during Saturday's 42-7 victory versus Northwestern.

Impact Dike recorded a career-best outing against the Wildcats defense, including a team-high 11 targets from quarterback Graham Mertz (20-of-29 passing, 299 yards, five touchdowns). The junior also flashed his run-after-the-catch ability with a game-long 52-yard touchdown reception to open the second half. Dike caught 46 passes (88 targets) for 718 yards over 23 career games heading into Saturday's win, and it's likely that he will regress back to a more moderate statline moving forward; however, the 6-foot-1 wideout has now recorded back-to-back games with double-digit targets, and he could see a favorable matchup during the Badgers' next game against Michigan State on Oct. 15.

Braelon Allen - Tosses touchdown in win Allen rushed 23 times for 135 yards and caught his lone target for a 10-yard reception during Saturday's 42-7 win over Northwestern. He also completed a 23-yard passing touchdown.

Impact Allen rushed for over 100 yards for the third time this season after being stifled for just two rushing yards across eight carries against Illinois last week. The sophomore also lined up in a wildcat set out of a shotgun snap before scrambling and tossing a catch-and-run touchdown to fellow running back Chez Mellusi (upper body) late in the third quarter. Allen could stand to see increased usage moving forward after Mellusi suffered what could be a long-term injury during Saturday's win.

Chez Mellusi - Suffers serious injury Saturday Mellusi suffered an upper body injury in Saturday's 42-7 win over Northwestern, Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Impact Mellusi landed awkwardly on his arm late in the fourth quarter of the blowout win. The running back had 31 yards on ten carries to go along with one reception for 23 yards and a touchdown prior to exiting. Mellusi will likely miss an extended period of time while recovering.
