Impact Though the Roadrunners recently benched McCown mid-game, he will continue to be their starting quarterback. The redshirt sophomore will try to redeem himself after competing less than half of his 23 passes.

Devin McCuin - Six catches in loss McCuin notched six receptions (on nine targets) for 29 yards during Saturday's 49-10 defeat versus Texas State.
Impact McCuin led the team in catches with six Saturday and was tied with Willie McCoy for the team lead in targets. Although it was a quiet day in terms of yardage, McCuin further proved himself to be the team's No. 1 option in the passing game. With how poorly the Roadrunners' defense played Saturday, McCuin could be in for a productive season with his team needing to throw the ball a lot.

Willie McCoy - Scores in Saturday's loss McCoy caught three of nine targets for 59 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 49-10 loss against Texas State.
Impact McCoy led the team in receiving yards Saturday, in addition to scoring the team's only touchdown, a two-yard reception from Eddie Lee Marburger late in the third quarter. He also tied for the team lead with nine targets but caught just a third of them. Through two games it seems like McCoy is the clear No. 2 option behind Devin McCuin in the passing game, but that could change when De'Corian Clark (knee) makes his return to the field.

Robert Henry Jr. - Quiet as lead back Henry Jr. accrued nine carries for 26 yards and gathered in 2 of 3 targets for zero yards during Saturday's 49-10 defeat to Texas State.
Impact Henry led the team in rushing attempts and yards Saturday, but it was still a quiet game for the senior. The backfield is clearly split three ways with Henry, Rocko Griffin and Kevorian Barnes, which will continue to limit each players upside. Backup quarterback Eddie Lee Marburger was given a chance in the second half and added five rushes for 23 yards, and if he steals the starting job from the pocket passer Owen McCown, it could hurt Henry and the other running backs even more.

Owen McCown - Benched after first half McCown was 10-for-23 passing for 105 yards during Saturday's 49-10 defeat versus Texas State.
Impact McCown had an ineffective first half, completing less than 50 percent of his passes for just over 100 yards. That inefficiency led the coaching staff to give Eddie Lee Marburger a chance and although he threw a touchdown, he was not much better than McCown. It's unclear where things stand in the Roadrunners' QB room, but McCown's benching did not seem like a permanent decision. As such, it would not be surprising to see both quarterbacks in action this Saturday at No. 2 Texas.
