Utah State rides big plays to 62-7 rout of Stony Brook

LOGAN, Utah (AP) — Utah State scored on several long plays and amassed 717 yards and defeated FCS-member Stony Brook 62-7 on Saturday.

Jordan Love completed 25 of 34 passes for 294 yards and a touchdown, and Jaylen Warren carried nine times for 105 yards with touchdown runs of 28 and 54 yards for the Aggies (1-1). Other highlights included a 45-yard punt return TD by Deven Thompkins, a 30-yard TD pass from Henry Colombi to Derek Wright and a 59-yard TD run by Andrew Peasley.

The Aggies led 34-0 at halftime and 41-0 after Warren romped 54 yards on the second play of the third quarter.

Isaiah White scored the Seawolves' touchdown on a 3-yard pass from Jack Cassidy, making the score 41-7 before Colombi connected for two TD passes and Peasley had his long scoring run.

Stony Brook (1-1) was held to 263 yards.
