Jadarian Price - Logs 3 TDs in backup role Price logged 74 yards on nine carries, but it was the three touchdowns that made the headlines in the Notre Dame 56-30 win over Purdue on Saturday.
Impact Price benefitted from a major running game as the Irish only threw the ball a dozen times. The junior is still behind Jeremiyah Love, in the running back pecking order, but Price has shown that he can be productive even in the reserve role. With the three touchdowns, the junior has already registered five touchdowns on the season, only two behind his career best in a season that was in 2024 (7 touchdowns). Price will look to hit paydirt again against Arkansas on Saturday, Sept. 27. The Razorbacks defense is in the middle of the nation against the run.

Malachi Fields - Slow start distant memory Fields only had two catches against Purdue on Saturday, but it resulted in 78 yards and his first touchdown in a Notre Dame jersey in the 56-30 win over Purdue.
Impact Fields has rebounded mightily after the opener against Miami in August where he had only 48 yards on three catches. In the previous game against Texas A&M, the transfer from Virginia collected 77 yards on five catches. Next up for Fields and Notre Dame is Arkansas on Saturday, Sept. 27. The Razorbacks are in the top 10 in pass defense in the country, but in the last two weeks the pass defense has allowed an average of 276 passing yards per game.
