Impact Keita led the way in both scoring and rebounding recording his third double-double as the Cougars tasted defeat for the first time in 10 games in the semifinals of the Big 12 tournament. The starting center typically plays roughly half the game for BYU, though over the last four he's seen an uptick in minutes, playing 24.8 minutes while averaging 10.5 points, 11.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks. The Cougars have the look of a very dangerous squad heading into the NCAA Tournament and will look forward to Selection Sunday to find out their path.

Crashing offensive glass Keita closed Saturday's 85-74 victory over Utah with 12 points (5-6 FG, 2-8 FT), seven rebounds, one block and one steal across 25 minutes.
Impact Keita continues to play well down the stretch for the Cougars, shooting 5-for-6 from the floor while pulling down five of his seven boards off the offensive glass. The junior center has been crashing the glass over the last two games, collecting 14 of his 22 rebounds on the offensive end after having retrieved 13 total across his previous 10 appearances. The Cougars enter the postseason as one of the hottest teams in the country, having won eight straight to earn the four-seed and a double-bye in the upcoming Big 12 tournament. Keita has contributed 7.8 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.5 blocks during that stretch and will be a key contributor for a BYU squad that is looking to do some damage in the NCAA tournament and make its first Sweet 16 appearance in 15 seasons.

Efficient against Jayhawks Keita closed Tuesday's 91-57 win over Kansas with 10 points (5-7 FG), nine rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals over 20 minutes.
Impact Normally not a big name in fantasy circles, Keita has collected a combined 19 points and 20 rebounds in his last two games -- both of which have been convincing victories for BYU. The Utah transfer has also collected seven rejections over that set and is averaging a block per game on the year.

High-volume rebounder Keita logged 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-4 FT), nine rebounds and one steal over 22 minutes during Tuesday's 85-69 win over Oklahoma State.

Double-double in 19 minutes Keita ended with 14 points (5-6 FG, 4-8 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 19 minutes during Friday's 86-80 victory over UC Riverside.
Impact Keita has unexpectedly started the first two games over Fousseyni Traore and led the Cougars on the glass, contributing 10 boards to go along with 14 points for his first double-double of the season. The junior transfer from Utah is essentially splitting time with Traore as Keita played 19 minutes while Traore saw 20 minutes of action and the two combined for 27 points, 16 rebounds and three blocks Friday. BYU will traditionally limit the time on the court for their big men and as long as both continue to provide quality production, it would be safe to expect that each will remain in the 18-22 minute range moving forward.

Scores in double figures Keita (undisclosed) finished with 14 points (6-10 FG, 2-3 FT), four rebounds and a steal in 16 minutes during Thursday's 90-44 win over UCLA.
Impact Keita didn't appear to be limited at all after apparently suffering a minor injury versus Arizona in the team's previous game. The 6-8 sophomore had his way around the basket and was tied for the team-high in points with Cole Bajema despite playing 11 fewer minutes. Head coach Craig Smith raved about Keita's physicality and the impact he has, suggesting more minutes could be in store in the near future.
JANUARY 12, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Warming up early Keita is on the floor going through warmups ahead of Thursday's game against UCLA, Josh Furlong of KSL News Salt Lake City reports.
Impact Keita played just four minutes in Sunday's loss to Arizona after falling hard to the ground in the first half. He was back out on the floor with the team after halftime but never returned to the game. On Tuesday, coach Craig Smith said Keita was making progress but that his status for Thursday's game was still up in the air. He did not practice Tuesday either. The fact that he's warming up with the team bodes well for his chances to play, though nothing official has been announced yet. His final status will likely hinge on how he feels during warmups.
JANUARY 11, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Booms in win Keita posted 18 points (6-8 FG, 6-8 FT), 11 rebounds, three blocks and two steals in 22 minutes during Friday's 80-58 victory over Washington State.
Impact Keita formed the paint-dwelling half of a formidable inside-outside duo with Branden Carlson (19 points, eight rebounds, five blocks) Friday. Both players supplying strong performances bodes well for the viability of this frontcourt in the future. The sophomore has only logged a 31.2 percent minute share through 10 appearances thus far, but his rebounding rates and block rates are elite figures on a per-minute basis.
