In a game where Iowa desperately needed someone else besides Bennett Srirtz to step up as a scoring threat, Koch wasn't that player as the Hawkeyes suffered a serious setback, losing to the hapless Terps. Koch has made strides in his second year of college hoops, but remains too inconsistent to trust, both for Iowa and from a fantasy standpoint.

It's been a quiet scoring stretch for the freshman, who's started every game for the Hawkeyes this season but only averages 6.7 points. Given that the forward isn't contributing consistently on the glass either, to the tune of 3.3 rebounds per game, he's best avoided for fantasy purposes at the moment.

Impact Koch didn't offer much besides the three triples he buried, but he didn't need to as Iowa rolled over Western Michigan. The forward's long-range stroke has been dangerous this year, as he's hitting 50 percent of his threes on 3.3 attempts per game. Still, he has yet to really assert himself as a scorer, meaning he has yet to log a truly big game thus far in 2025-26. Still, with the way he's shooting the ball from deep, it could be just a matter of time.

Impact Koch hasn't been all that assertive this season, as he's attempted just 14 shots over the course of four games. Still, Iowa has had no trouble scoring and Koch has started in all four outings. The redshirt freshman isn't the biggest piece to Iowa's puzzle, but he looks to be a consistent one that should grow as the season wears on.
