Wooden scores 31 as James Madison downs UL Monroe 89-70
HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) — Julien Wooden's 31 points led James Madison over UL Monroe 89-70 on Thursday night.
Wooden shot 12 for 17, including 7 for 11 from beyond the arc for the Dukes (16-2, 4-2 Sun Belt Conference). Terrence Edwards scored 17 points while going 5 of 9 from the floor, including 3 for 6 from 3-point range, and 4 for 6 from the line, and added six rebounds and six assists. Raekwon Horton shot 5 for 6, including 4 for 5 from beyond the arc to finish with 15 points.
Savion Gallion led the Warhawks (4-12, 0-6) in scoring, finishing with 16 points. Makai Willis added 15 points and seven rebounds for UL Monroe. Tyreese Watson also had 14 points. The Warhawks extended their losing streak to nine in a row.
