Wooden scores 23, James Madison knocks off Old Dominion 78-62
NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Julien Wooden's 23 points helped James Madison defeat Old Dominion 78-62 on Wednesday night.
Wooden had five rebounds for the Dukes (18-2, 7-2 Sun Belt Conference). Noah Freidel scored 15 points while going 4 of 10 from the floor, including 3 for 7 from 3-point range, and 4 for 4 from the line, and added nine rebounds and five assists. T.J. Bickerstaff shot 5 of 10 from the field and 2 for 5 from the line to finish with 12 points.
The Monarchs (5-15, 1-8) were led by Vasean Allette, who posted 15 points, six rebounds and five assists. Old Dominion also got 14 points from Tyrone Williams. In addition, Chaunce Jenkins had 10 points.
