SE Louisiana defeats Houston Christian 81-78 on Nick Caldwell's 3-pointer
HAMMOND, La. (AP) — Nick Caldwell scored 24 points, including a 3-pointer with three seconds left, to lift SE Louisiana over Houston Christian 81-78 on Saturday night.
Caldwell also added 10 rebounds for the Lions (13-13, 8-5 Southland Conference). Roger McFarlane added 21 points while shooting 8 for 19, including 5 for 12 from beyond the arc, and he also had seven rebounds. Alec Woodard was 6 of 12 shooting, including 3 for 7 from 3-point range, and went 2 for 4 from the line to finish with 17 points. The Lions extended their winning streak to six games.
The Huskies (6-18, 4-9) were led by Michael Imariagbe, who posted 19 points and nine rebounds. Dominic Capriotti added 19 points and five assists for Houston Christian. In addition, Jay Alvarez finished with 17 points and eight rebounds.
