King's 23 lead Middle Tennessee past Florida International 79-61

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) — Elias King scored 23 points as Middle Tennessee beat Florida International 79-61 on Saturday night.

King added six rebounds for the Blue Raiders (8-13, 2-4 Conference USA). Jestin Porter added 20 points while shooting 6 for 13 (2 for 6 from 3-point range) and 6 of 8 from the free-throw line, and grabbed eight rebounds. Jared Jones had 19 points and shot 6 of 14 from the field and 6 for 6 from the foul line.

Arturo Dean led the Panthers (7-14, 2-4) in scoring, finishing with 16 points, five assists and two steals. Dashon Gittens added 11 points and four steals for Florida International. Seth Pinkney also recorded nine points and six rebounds.
