King puts up 18, Middle Tennessee takes down Florida International 68-66

MIAMI (AP) — Elias King scored 18 points as Middle Tennessee beat Florida International 68-66 on Saturday.

King also contributed nine rebounds for the Blue Raiders (9-15, 3-6 Conference USA). Jared Jones added 13 points while going 5 of 7 and 2 of 4 from the free throw line, and he also had 13 rebounds. Justin Bufford had 12 points and shot 5 of 10 from the field and 1 for 4 from the line. Jestin Porter scored 11 points with his bucket giving Middle Tennessee the lead for good with 44 seconds remaining.

Arturo Dean finished with 14 points, eight rebounds and two steals for the Panthers (8-16, 3-6). Petar Krivokapic added 12 points for Florida International. In addition, Javaunte Hawkins finished with 10 points, four assists and three steals.
