Jenkins scores 21 as St. John's defeats Hofstra 84-79
NEW YORK (AP) — Daniss Jenkins had 21 points in St. John's 84-79 win against Hofstra on Saturday.
Jenkins also had nine rebounds and eight assists for the Red Storm (9-4). Jordan Dingle scored 15 points and added five rebounds. Joel Soriano was 5 of 9 shooting and 4 of 8 from the free throw line to finish with 14 points.
Tyler Thomas led the way for the Pride (7-6) with 24 points and nine rebounds. Hofstra also got 23 points, two steals and three blocks from Darlinstone Dubar. Jaquan Carlos also had 10 points, four assists and two steals.
NEXT UP
St. John's next game is Tuesday against Butler at home. Hofstra hosts Charleston (SC) on Thursday.
