Fields scores 21 in Fairfield's 70-61 victory over Marist
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) — Caleb Fields scored 21 points as Fairfield beat Marist 70-61 on Friday night.
Fields added five rebounds for the Stags (12-14, 8-8 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). TJ Long scored 21 points, shooting 7 for 9 (3 for 4 from 3-point range) and 4 of 4 from the free throw line. Allan Jeanne-Rose shot 5 of 6 from the field to finish with 11 points.
Patrick Gardner led the way for the Red Foxes (8-17, 4-12) with 13 points. Javon Cooley added 11 points for Marist. Noah Harris also recorded 11 points, four assists and three steals.
NEXT UP
These two teams both play Sunday. Fairfield hosts Manhattan while Marist hosts Niagara.
