Balanc's 20 help Quinnipiac beat Manhattan 77-71
RIVERDALE, N.Y. (AP) — Matt Balanc scored 20 points as Quinnipiac beat Manhattan 77-71 on Friday night.
Balanc also contributed five rebounds for the Bobcats (17-4, 9-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Amarri Tice scored 16 points while shooting 6 for 13, including 2 for 4 from beyond the arc, and added five rebounds and five steals. Alexis Reyes had nine points and was 2 of 6 shooting, including 1 for 5 from 3-point range, and went 4 for 4 from the line. The Bobcats picked up their eighth straight victory.
Seydou Traore led the Jaspers (5-14, 2-8) in scoring, finishing with 17 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. Shaquil Bender added 15 points and two steals for Manhattan. Xinyi Li also recorded 12 points.
Both teams next play Sunday. Quinnipiac hosts Canisius and Manhattan plays Fairfield on the road.
