Howard's late 3 lifts Central Arkansas over SE Louisiana (Feb 04, 2017)

CONWAY, Ark. (AP) Jordan Howard scored 14 points Saturday and made the game-winning 3-pointer with 2.2 seconds left to cap Central Arkansas' late rally for a 68-66 win over Southeastern Louisiana.

The Bears (6-18, 5-6 Southland) trailed 66-59 with four minutes to go before scoring the final nine points. Jeff Lowery, Ethan Lee and Mathieu Kamba had baskets to cut the deficit to 66-65 with 2:11 left and both teams went scoreless until Howard's 3 in the final seconds.

Kamba scored 13 points, Lee added 10 and Derreck Brooks had 10 points and 11 rebounds for Central Arkansas.

Marlain Veal had 24 points and Eddy Polanco scored 18 for the Lions (13-11, 6-5).

Southeastern Louisiana built its largest lead with a 10-0 run to get to 66-59 with 4:01 to go. Neither team led by more than seven.

The Bears made 7 of 16 from 3-point range and the Lions made 9 of 29.
