The Phillies picked up an extra player for part of their game against the Rockies on Saturday.

A squirrel took the field during the third inning at the game in Denver.

The athletic little guy held up the game for a few minutes and then play continued while the squirrel hopped around behind the backstop.

Take a look:

The Phillies didn't seem to mind having the extra man on the field, so the squirrel stuck around for the fourth inning as well, making it to the infield.

Maybe the squirrel was a Rockies fan hoping to distract the visiting team. The home team came away with a 3-1 win.
