Ramirez misses 3rd straight start

Manager Don Mattingly said Ramirez was moving around better Wednesday and might attempt to hit a ball off a tee. He said Ramirez ''obviously'' would not require a DL stay and hedged at his availability against the Cardinals, opting for an NFL-type listing of doubtful that meant he most likely would not play.
Mattingly said Ramirez, who tumbled into the stands making a catch in foul territory on Sunday, had full range of motion. The Dodgers opted against an MRI exam, Mattingly said, because a dye injection necessary for contrast would have kept the player out at least three days.
Nick Punto started the first two games at shortstop and Dee Gordon started Wednesday.
