Florida Panthers recall goalie Reto Berra on emergency basis

SUNRISE, Fla. -- Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations Dale Tallon announced Friday that the Panthers have recalled goaltender Reto Berra on an emergency basis from the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds.

Berra, 30, has posted a 12-14-2 record with a 2.53 goals against average, a .910 save percentage and three shutouts with Springfield.

The 6-foot-4, 210-pound native of Bulach, Switzerland has played in 64 NHL games with the Colorado Avalanche (2014-16) and Calgary Flames (2013-14), amassing a 19-30-4 record with a 2.82 goals against average, .906 save percentage and three shutouts. He was originally selected by the St. Louis Blues in the fourth round (106th overall) of the 2006 NHL Draft.
