Just because you’ve slipped behind in the stolen base category doesn’t mean you can’t catch up. Here are some reasonably available SB threats.
Dexter Fowler, OF, Colorado Rockies — Fowler struggled at the plate, hitting .143 (2-for-14), but he did manage to steal three more bases. He added four runs, a HR and four RBI. On the year, he’s hitting .254 with 23 SBs, 45 runs, four HRs and 25 RBI. He’s owned in 28 percent of Yahoo!, 15.8 percent of ESPN and 35 percent of CBS leagues.
Carlos Gonzalez, OF, Colorado Rockies — Carlos picked up a couple SBs last week while hitting .300 (3-for-10) and adding three runs. On the year, he’s hitting .213 with seven SBs, 14 runs, a home run and five RBI. He’s owned in three percent of Yahoo!, 0.7 percent of ESPN and nine percent of CBS leagues.
Adam Kennedy, 2B/3B/OF, Oakland A’s — Kennedy had another solid week with two SBs, a .304 average (7-for-23), four runs and an RBI. On the year, he’s hitting .292 with 11 SBs, 33 runs, seven HRs and 32 RBI. He’s owned in 39 percent of Yahoo!, 11.6 percent of ESPN and 34 percent of CBS leagues.
Scott Podsednik, OF, Chicago White Sox — Pods picked up two steals while hitting .500 (6-for-12) with five runs scored. On the year, he’s hitting .308 with 15 steals, 39 runs, three long balls and 24 RBI. He’s owned in 57 percent of Yahoo!, 19.5 percent of ESPN and 42 percent of CBS leagues.
