Holt (concussion) will visit a specialist in Pittsburgh on Oct. 8, Boston Globe reports.
The concussion cost Holt the final three weeks of the season, but he's been making steady progress and the Red Sox expect Holt to be cleared after his follow-up with Dr. Michael Collins. Holt hit .281/.331/.381 with 68 runs scored, four homers and 12 steals while serving as a super-utility player and leadoff hitter for Boston, and he's reportedly very much in the team's plans for 2015. He will not be required to play anywhere this winter.
