Impact Waters was diagnosed with a navicular stress fracture in his right foot that will keep him out for at least six weeks, potentially longer than eight too. The injury explains why he did not participate in San Diego State's preseason exhibition against UCLA. For now, the plan is to have Waters wear a protective boot for five weeks and re-evaluate thereafter, hoping one week or just a little over than that is all it takes to get him cleared. Currently, the earliest he can play is a Dec. 7 game against San Diego, after sitting out six games in November and another matchup in December at Fresno State.
