Wolves to tip off 2015-16 season at Lakers on national TV

The Minnesota Timberwolves will begin their 27th NBA regular season on Oct. 28, at the Los Angeles Lakers on national television, the club announced on Wednesday. All told, the Wolves will have 12 nationally televised contests in 2015-16.

Minnesota's home opener is set for Monday, Nov. 2, against Portland.

A pair of four-game homestands also dot Minnesota's regular-season schedule, with the first occurring from Dec. 1-9. The second four-game homestand, from Jan. 6-12, features a visit from LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, on Jan. 8. Other notable games include Nov. 12 and March 21, versus the defending world champion Golden State Warriors.

Additionally, Minnesota has two four-game road trips, from Jan. 29 through Feb. 3 and March 11-16.

The Wolves will play 14 back-to-back sets during the 2015-16 season, and will play 52 games against the Western Conference as opposed to 30 games versus Eastern Conference opponents.
