After an embarrassing 1-4 record last week, the season marks stands at 28-26-1. That's not good. In fact, that's bad. Let's see if we can close strong. Going with three of the best teams in the league and against one of the worst this week.

SAINTS -9.5 VS. PANTHERS: This is a perfect matchup for New Orleans. Carolina is playing as bad as any team in the league and hasn't won a game since Week 5. Their offense has no chance to keep up with New Orleans. Since a 37-37 tie against Cincinnati, here are the Panthers' point totals: 17, 9, 10, 21, 17, 13. That is just what the Saints' weak defense needs to see this week.

COLTS -3.5 AT BROWNS: Brian Hoyer will be motivated to keep his job after almost losing it to Johnny Manziel, but it won't matter. Indianapolis comes in with the top-ranked offense in the NFL in total yards per game and points per game. The Colts have done that without a strong ground game, but now it looks like they may have found something in running back Dan Herron. Cleveland's offense won't be able to keep up with Andrew Luck.

SEAHAWKS +1 AT EAGLES: Philadelphia is 6-0 at home, but we think Seattle's defense, which has given up a total of six points in its last two games, will be too much for Mark Sanchez, who does have a history of turnover problems. Chip Kelly will not dial down the aggressiveness, and that could lead to a couple of picks for Richard Sherman.

BRONCOS -10 VS. BILLS: Denver does not lose at home. The question is whether it will cover the big number. These are the point totals the Broncos have scored in their six games at Mile High Stadium: 31, 24, 41, 42, 35, 39. We'll take the chance they cover against a Bills team that has topped 30 points in a game just once this season. Against the Jets.

WHAT I LIKED THIS WEEK

* J.J. Watt was mic'd up for last week's game against the Titans and the result was a tremendous five-minute video.

* Arian Foster doing his whole media session on Thursday in a British accent.

* Vince McMahon's appearance on Stone Cold's Steve Austin's podcast was a much listen for any WWE fan.

* The funniest fan signs of 2014.

* This parody of J.J. Watt as a stripper in "Magic MIke 2."

* Brian Williams and Jimmy Fallon slow jamming the news.

* Fred Savage, aka Kevin Arnold, donating his old-school Jets jacket to the Smithsonian.

* Texans receiver Andrew Johnson giving kids a shopping spree at a toy store.

* A fan reworking the lyrics to Elton John's "Candle in the Wind" to commemorate RGIII's downfall in Washington.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE THIS WEEK

* Technically, I like the result because it's an amusing video, but a reporter trying to bait Torii Hunter with questions about his anti-gay marriage stance and Hunter repeatedly calling the reporter a prick made everyone look bad.

* Mariah Carey's performance of "All I Want For Christmas Is You" at the annual Rockefeller Center tree lighting ceremony was rough. Very rough.
