Vikings make coaching changes, remove OC Shurmur's interim tag

The Minnesota Vikings announced Friday afternoon that offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur's tag has been lifted.

Running backs coach Kevin Stefanski will take over as quarterbacks coach, while Kennedy Polamalu will take over the running backs.

Clancy Barone will fill Shurmur's original role and coach the Vikings' tight ends.

Shurmur was promoted to interim offensive coordinator after Norv Turner abruptly resigned in November
