SportSouth announces 2014-15 Grizzlies television schedule


SportSouth, a FOX Sports regional network, and the Memphis Grizzlies today announced that SportSouth will televise 81 games during the 2014-15 regular season, which is the most games ever televised by the regional sports network. With this expanded coverage, every Memphis Grizzlies game will be available during the upcoming season. Grizzlies' games on SportSouth will reach more than 6.2 million households across a seven state region including Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee.
The Grizzlies will tip off the regular season on SportSouth in Memphis on Wednesday, October 29 against the Minnesota Timberwolves featuring the 2014 No. 1 overall draft pick Andrew Wiggins. Other highlights from the schedule include four games against the defending NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs and three games against perennial powerhouse Oklahoma City Thunder. SportSouth will also televise the first matchup against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday, December 21.
Play-by-play broadcaster Pete Pranica returns for his 11th season as the television voice of the Grizzlies, alongside analysts Sean Tuohy and Brevin Knight. Rob Fischer enters his eighth season as the SportSouth sideline reporter.
In addition to the return of the Grizzlies LIVE! pregame show, SportSouth will introduce expanded game coverage with a new Grizzlies LIVE! postgame show. Hosted by Fischer and Knight, with reports from Chris Vernon on all home games, Grizzlies LIVE! will provide viewers with complete game night coverage including interviews, game analysis and special features for all 81 telecasts on SportSouth.
