Let's rewind: Sherman recounts legendary 'You mad bro?' moment

It's been a little more than two years, but that one moment lives on.

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman had just finished a victory over the New England Patriots back in 2012. After the game, he posted a photo on Twitter of him taunting Tom Brady with a caption that said, "U Mad Bro?"

Of course, Sherman got blasted with criticism from the sanctimonious crowd who worship at the altar of Tom Brady and don't believe fun has any place in the game. Sherman was a guest on the FOX Football Daily show last year and told the tale of that legendary moment.

Fast forward to the present day and Brady, who will play in his sixth Super Bowl on Feb. 1, was a guest on WEEI's "Dennis & Callahan Show" on Monday morning. One of the hosts asked Brady how he "managed not to punch Richard Sherman in the throat" after the taunt (wow, classy), and whether he was looking forward to seeing Sherman in the Super Bowl in two weeks.

"Truthfully at that time, I thought he was just coming up to say, 'Good game,'" Brady said. "That's all I thought it was, and you know it was loud after the game so I didn't hear anything. Then I went into the locker room after the game and everybody said, whatever it was the next day, where he said he was talking trash to me. But I thought he just came up and said, 'Good game,' so that was all a bit of a surprise to me."

Do you believe that story? After all, according to Sherman, Brady told him and safety Earl Thomas to "come see me after this win." Did Brady believe that Sherman, a player he taunted, despite the latter intercepting one of his passes that day, was going to come up with a friendly "Good game"?

Hmmmm.
