Michael Beasley's run with the Memphis Grizzlies has already concluded.
On Thursday, the club waived the veteran forward and former No. 2 overall pick from the 2008 NBA Draft during preseason action, with the Grizzlies still three weeks away from the regular-season launch.
On Sept. 25, the Grizzlies signed Beasley (6-foot-9, 225 pounds) to a non-guaranteed contract.

The 25-year-old Beasley holds career averages of 13.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 24.9 minutes in 409 games (199 starts) for Miami, Minnesota and Phoenix.
In the 2008 draft, Beasley (originally taken by the Heat) was selected one spot behind Derrick Rose and a few spots ahead of NBA stars Russell Westbrook, Kevin Love, Brook Lopez and Roy Hibbert.
