Grizzlies boost perimeter look with Vince Carter signing

The Memphis Grizzlies bolstered their perimeter game with a household name on Saturday, signing Vince Carter to a multiyear deal.
The former star of the Raptors, Nets, Magic, Suns and Mavericks (most recently) comes to Memphis as one of the NBA's all-time leaders in three-pointers made (7th overall), three-pointers attempted (8th), field goals attempted (20th), points (25th), minutes played (31st), games played (46th), free throws made (47th), points per game and free throw attempts (49th).
Carter, an eight-time all-star and former NBA Rookie of the Year (1998-99), has averaged double-figures scoring in each of his 16 NBA seasons, including the 2013-14 campaign with the Mavericks, as he averaged 11.9 points and 3.5 rebounds for a Dallas team that pushed eventual champion San Antonio to the brink in the Western Conference playoffs (losing in seven games).
In fact, Carter nailed a buzzer-beating triple in the Mavericks' Game 3 victory over the Spurs.
