Green inactive for second straight game

CINCINNATI -- The Bengals will be without three starters because of injury Sunday against Indianapolis as wide receiver A.J. Green and linebackers Rey Maualuga and Emmanuel Lamur are all on the inactive list. Green is missing his second consecutive game with a toe injury, while Maualuga (hamstring) and Lamur (shoulder) were hurt in last week's 37-37 tie against Carolina.
Second-year linebacker Jayson DiManche will make his first career start taking over for Lamur at the SAM, while Vinny Rey will start at middle linebacker in place of Maualuga. The Bengals are hopeful Lamur will be able to return and play next week at home against AFC North rival Baltimore but Maualuga's injury will sideline him for several weeks.
The Bengals also have defensive tackle Brandon Thompson, who is still recovering from a knee injury suffered in Week 2 against Atlanta, cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris, offensive lineman Tanner Hawkinson and rookie defensive end Will Clarke among their seven inactive players.
Wide receiver Greg Little, signed this week after Marvin Jones went on season-ending injured reserve, is active, as is linebacker Nico Johnson. The Bengals signed Johnson off of the Kansas City practice squad to help with depth while Maualuga and Lamur are out.
Brandon Tate is expected to start in place of Green. Tate caught four passes for 38 yards and a touchdown last week against Carolina.
Right guard Kevin Zeitler is active for the first time since suffering a calf injury in Week 2 and is expected to start.
