Doc Rivers talks Turkoglu, Bynum

The Clippers have an interest in former Orlando Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu, but coach Doc Rivers is playing a cat-and-mouse game when it comes to discussing big man Andrew Bynum.

The 6-foot-10 Turkoglu worked out for the Clippers this week and remains an option for them with his size and ball-handling skills, although Rivers said he's in no rush to sign anyone.

"He looked good," Rivers said before the Clippers played the Lakers at Staples Center. "It was a good workout, but we're not doing anything anytime soon. But he did look really good."

Bynum, who was traded this week from Cleveland to Chicago and then waived by the Bulls, is a free agent. Several teams are said to be interested, which is probably the reason Rivers didn't to answer questions about whether he had met with the former Laker.

"I won't say," he said. "Playing poker right now."

Bynum, of course, is a risk for any team, and not just because of injuries. He was suspended by the Cavaliers for "conduct detrimental to the team," and had a full list of issues during his time with the Lakers.

But the Clippers lack much depth behind center DeAndre Jordan, making a healthy and engaged Bynum a possible fit.

Asked if the Clippers have had internal discussions about Bynum, Rivers said, "We've had internal discussions about everyone. I like our team, though. I really do. So I tread very cautiously if we change."
