Denny Hamlin selling North Carolina starter home for relatively modest price tag

Denny Hamlin is selling the North Carolina starter home that he purchased in 2004 -- a year before making his Sprint Cup Series debut -- and lived in for a short time before handing over the keys to his parents, Dennis and Mary Lou.

According to realtor.com, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver is asking a relatively modest $498,990 for the 3,629-square-foot brick face home located just north of Charlotte in Davidson, North Carolina.

Apparently, the four-bedroom house's price tag was recently sliced by $11,000, so this is truly a buyer's market.

Hamlin -- who became a first-time parent in January 2013 when girlfriend Jordan Fish gave birth to daughter Taylor -- isn't waiting around for the house to sell, however. He's in the process of having a 31,000-square-foot mansion built in nearby Cornelius, North Carolina.
