Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade picked as reserves for All-Star Game

Miami Heat stars Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade are All-Stars again, having been selected among the seven reserves the NBA announced Thursday.

Bosh will be playing in his 10th consecutive All-Star game and his eighth as a reserve. In 37 games, he is averaging 21.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists.

Wade was named to his 11th straight All-Star appearance and his first as a reserve since 2005. He leads the Heat with 21.4 points per game, along with 5.4 assists and 3.8 rebounds in 35 games. He was named the 2010 NBA All-Star MVP and posted a triple-double in the 2006 All-Star game with 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.

His availability for the All-Star game is in doubt, however, because of a strained right hamstring injury suffered earlier in the week. If Wade or any other player cannot participate, NBA commissioner Adam Silver will pick an alternate.

Bosh and Wade -- who were named to their fifth consecutive All-Star game as teammates -- are joined in the East by Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving, Chicago Bulls guard Jimmy Butler, as well as Jeff Teague, Al Horford and Paul Millsap of the Eastern Conference-leading Atlanta Hawks.

For the West, Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder join Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors, LaMarcus Aldridge of the Portland Trail Blazers, James Harden of the Houston Rockets, Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul as reserves.

Atlanta's Mike Budenholzer will coach the East team and Golden State's Steve Kerr will coach for the West.

NBA head coaches selected the 14 reserves for the 2015 All-Star game, which will be played Feb. 15, at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
