Charles Sims becomes human bowling ball during TD run (Video)
Charles Sims turned himself into a human bowling ball on his way to an impressive touchdown run in Week 1 against the Falcons.
We’re only one week into the NFL season and already lower-ley players are making a mark. Charles Sims is one of those players, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers backup running back scored one of the biggest touchdowns of the afternoon.
In a tight game agains the Falcons, Sims busted out a bowling ball run that but the Bucs ahead and in charge. While it wasn’t a game-winning touchdown, it was clutch as hell. Sims helped open up the Bucs offense on one catch-and-run, which helped put Jameis Winston on another level the reset of the game.
Just watch, it’s incredible:
That’s what the Buccaneers need more of this season. Sims isn’t their primary running back, but he’s proven to be a more than solid compliment for Doug Martin. Last year was a real arrival period for Sims, as he established himself as a dual purpose back for Jameis Winston.
While the onus of last year’s work fell on Martin, which resulted in a big contract in free agency, it was Sims who deserves a ton of credit for helping ease the burden. His role in the Bucs offense is only going to grow, as Tampa Bay needs as much of this as they can muster.
