Best of Super Bowl XLIX Media Day: Puppets, flip-flops and Beast Mode
Well, that was fun.
The annual clown show otherwise known as Super Bowl XLIX Media Day is now behind us, but not before giving us some tasty morsels of fun to carry us before the actual game goes down on Sunday. This year's edition had the usual cast of oddly dressed characters, funny quotes and interesting questions. So, let's relive some of the better moments.
The New England Patriots opened Tuesday's festivities at US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
Bill Belichick dressed for comfort
All we can say is thank goodness this game isn't being played in New York, because there's no way Wild Bill could sport flip-flops last year:

Did you know Bill has a softer side?
The Patriots head coach actually had some entertaining things to say. First of all, you won't believe the last three movies he's watched. Also, when a child reporter asked him for his favorite stuffed animal, Bill had an answer:

Bravo, coach. You stepped up . . . even when someone asked if you wanted anyone murdered.
Gronk's story time
One person asked Rob Gronkowski to read a passage from the erotic novel "A Gronking to Remember" and he happily obliged.
Then, he even named his early celebrity crush.
Can you spot the creeper?

Again, if this was any place but Super Bowl Media Day, this would officially be creepy.
Media makes most of their time in the sun
Once a year, the media becomes the focal point of the story. And on this day, Media Day had its share of nutjobs.

Marshawn Lynch does what's expected
The Seattle Seahawks running back got a spot at a podium when his team came out for their one-hour session. And Beast Mode went into Repeat Mode.
Lynch sat at the podium and made this statement: "I'm here so I won't get fined." And for the next five minutes, he answered any question posed to him with, "I'm here so I won't get fined." Or, he added a word and said, "I'm just here so I won't get fined."
After five minutes, Lynch got up and walked out, having fulfilled the league's minimum requirement.
Some people found it funny. Others were annoyed. Personally, it's interesting to see media types bash Marshawn Lynch while standing and working among people dressed in diapers and clown outfits, but why get carried away with details . . .
Richard Sherman can dance
The talkative Seahawks cornerback more than made up for his teammate's desire to remain silent.
Sherman answered all questions posed to him -- including jabbing the NFL over its media policy -- and even found time to cut a rug with some TV personality.

He's got some decent moves.
Michael Bennett holds court
Nobody will ever call Seattle's defensive end politically correct. Sporting a giant cowboy hat and tackling any topic head on, Bennett entertained the masses by calling for the Patriots to remain celibate on Wednesday and complimenting his wife's booty.
Yeah, that happened.
