Zimmer says he won't name starting QB until game time

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer says he will not announce a starting quarterback until just before Sunday's season opener at Tennessee.

Zimmer will decide between veteran Shaun Hill and Sam Bradford, who was acquired in a trade with Philadelphia on Saturday. The Vikings gave the Eagles a first-round draft pick and a conditional fourth-round pick to get Bradford after starter Teddy Bridgewater suffered a major knee injury in practice last week.

Bradford says he feels much more comfortable with the playbook and his teammates than he did when he first arrived on Saturday.

Titans coach Mike Mularkey says the team is preparing as if Bradford will be the starter. He says ''you don't give up a 1 and a 4 to have a guy sit very long.''
