With Jim Harbaugh nearly gone, one veteran 49er pays his respects
With Jim Harbaugh all but officially out the door in San Francisco, 49ers offensive tackle Anthony Davis wrote this about his coach on Saturday:
FOX Sports College Football Insider Bruce Feldman reported Sunday that Harbaugh will be Michigan's next head coach. Harbaugh's family is flying to Michigan on Monday, according to Feldman.
CSN Bay Area reported Harbaugh will be introduced as the Wolverines' new coach on Tuesday.
San Francisco (7-8) has been eliminated from playoff contention, and speculation on Harbaugh's future has run rampant all season, despite the fact Harbaugh led the 49ers to three straight NFC championship games and a Super Bowl. Reports have emerged that Harbaugh's personality has worn on team execs, though plenty of people, including Davis, have pointed the finger at others — like embattled offensive coordinator Greg Roman:
Davis has since met with Roman and followed up by telling the media that he respects Roman as a "person" but not responding to a question about whether he respects Roman as a coach.
Greg Roman to me when I was 21: "You know we can get someone off the street to do what you do." #LifeComesAtYouFast

Harbaugh said Davis' tweet about Roman was "misguided," though he probably doesn't feel the same way about Davis' latest tweet.
