Wade Phillips carted off after sideline collision with player
Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips was carted off the field during Sunday’s game against the Chargers after he was run over by running back Melvin Gordon.
Gordon was forced out of bounds following an interception—which was eventually returned for a touchdown—and ran right into Phillips, knocking him to the ground. He was immediately tended to by the team’s training staff and taken off the field.
According to 9 News, Phillips was moving his hands and feet in the ambulance. He was talking to his wife.
