Vikes' Peterson questionable vs. Eagles

Published Dec. 24, 2010 12:00 a.m. ET

Minnesota Vikings starting RB Adrian Peterson (thigh) was limited in practice for the second day on Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday evening’s game against the host Philadelphia Eagles.

Vikings interim head coach Leslie Frazier indicated Friday that he thought Peterson would be able to play. However, if he winds up being one of Minnesota’s eight inactives for the game, rookie RB Toby Gerhart would get his second straight start in place of the injured Peterson.

Starting QB Brett Favre (concussion/shoulder/chest-doubtful) missed practice again and is not expected to play, leaving rookie Joe Webb to make his first NFL start.

The Vikings will likely be without starting FS Madieu Williams (concussion-doubtful), who did not practice this week. Backup S Jamarca Sanford (concussion-probable), who practiced all week, is expected to start for Williams.
