Tuck, Jacobs out for Giants, Seattle's Trufant out

Published Oct. 9, 2011 1:14 p.m. ET

Giants defensive captain Justin Tuck and reserve running back Brandon Jacobs are inactive for New York's game against the Seattle Seahawks.

It marked the second straight game Tuck has missed with neck and groin injuries and the third overall this season for the defensive end. Two-time Pro Bowler Osi Umenyiora returned from an injury last week and started for Tuck.

Jacobs is sidelined after hurting his knee last weekend in Arizona.

Seattle cornerback Marcus Trufant is out with lower back spasms. He was replaced in the starting lineup by Walter Thurmond. Seattle also is without receiver Mike Williams because of a concussion. Ben Obomanu replaced him in Sunday's lineup.
